We are excited to announce the new Slide template, available for the Open2b Commerce Ready e-commerce software starting from version 7.5.
Designed to make selling easier in both B2C and B2B, it offers autonomous and intuitive management of display preferences, limiting the need for code-level customization for more advanced structural changes, all directly from the Editor integrated in the e-commerce software management panel.
Slide features a clean, attractive design that is easy to modify even for less experienced users. Here you can customize menus, pages, navigation filters, logos, banners, and much more. Once customization is complete, the template can be made live and visible to all users with a simple click.
The goal of Slide is to give merchants and their teams greater freedom of action, eliminating the need for complex technical interventions such as FTP uploads or the use of staging environments, which require time and specific skills.
Features of the Slide template
Responsive, modern design with a wide layout: The template has a wide layout and is easy to use on mobile devices thanks to full-screen scrollable windows. Page scrolling is automatically disabled when opening windows or foreground elements, improving usability.
Rich menu system: The top of the site includes a large menu that automatically lists all main and secondary departments. This menu can be customized by adding banners and is perfect for stores with many departments, since it becomes scrollable if the number of departments is very large. A second large menu, editable through the template editor, is dedicated to store information (such as “About us”, “Contact us”, “Terms and conditions”) and can include an image slideshow. The top of the site can be further expanded with additional items on the left and right sides, and other customizable menus are available at the bottom of the site.
Modal cart: When the customer adds products to the cart, a side panel opens showing a confirmation message and a brief cart summary. The customer can close this panel to continue shopping without leaving the current page or proceed to checkout.
If you prefer, you can disable this feature so each product added takes the customer directly to the cart page.
Side mini cart: This mini cart shows a complete summary of added products and opens with a side panel similar to the modal cart, providing a consistent user experience. The mini cart can be displayed at any time, as it is available on all pages of the e-commerce site.
Sticky header: The top section of the site remains fixed at the top of the screen while the customer scrolls, showing or hiding navigation when scrolling upward.
Slideshows: The template includes a slideshow system that allows dragging images with touchscreens or mouse. This system is used on the homepage to display banners, products, departments, promotions, and testimonials.
Product lists and filters: Product lists can be displayed in grid or list view based on customer preference. Product cards are customizable through the template editor and show additional labels such as “New”, “Preorder”, and “Not available”. Navigation filters are displayed in a fixed sidebar and can be hidden by the customer to view product lists full-screen.
Product page: The product page is enriched with sections you can customize via the template editor. You can show additional information about shipping, returns, support, and payments, enable the request-info box, and display a table that calculates in real time the quantity and total of products the customer is about to add to the cart. The product page also includes “accessories” and “similar” products, displayed via slideshows.
