Technical requirements
The installed Open2b solution doesn’t necessarily require a dedicated server; a compatible hosting plan is sufficient.
Open2b can be managed with any browser and an internet connection. Installation is handled directly by us. Below are the available installation options.
Open2b hosting
If you prefer a single point of contact for hosting and software, choose one of our purpose‑built, optimized plans. Installation is included.

If you prefer to install Open2b on hosting from another provider or on your own server, installation is available by quote. The following requirements must be met first, after which we can proceed with compatibility tests with no obligation:
- Linux or Windows Server 2022
- Perl or Active Perl 5.40 (with a CGI directory for scripts)
- Apache 2 to 2.4 (with permissions for .htaccess and mod_rewrite)
- suEXEC for Linux servers (scripts executed with owner and group equal to FTP/SSH)
- MySQL 8.4 with access to a database (engine InnoDB Barracuda) and empty sql_mode variable
- Direct server access or FTP/SSH access for installation
- SMTP mail server for sending emails
- One of the following modules: GD, Imager, or Perl Image::Magick
- Perl Archive::Zip module
