What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that sites you visit send to your device, where they are stored and then sent back to the same sites on your next visit. Third-party cookies, instead, are set by a website different from the one the user is visiting. This is because a site may include elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages on other domains, etc.) that reside on servers different from the site being visited.
Cookies are used for different purposes: performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information about specific configurations regarding users who access the server, storing preferences, and so on.
There are different types of cookies:
Session cookies expire when the browser session ends and allow linking a user's actions during that specific session.
Persistent cookies remain stored on the user's device even after the browser session ends and allow the site to remember preferences or actions across multiple sites.
First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting.
Third-party cookies are set by a third-party site different from the one you are visiting.
Cookies can be disabled or removed using tools available in most browsers. Cookie preferences must be set separately for each browser used, as each offers specific features and options.
Differences in cookies by purpose
Technical cookies
These are cookies required to navigate or provide a service requested by the user. They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the site owner. Without these cookies, certain operations could not be performed or would be more complex and/or less secure, such as online banking activities (viewing account statements, bank transfers, bill payments, etc.), for which cookies that allow identification within the session are indispensable.
Analytics cookies
The Italian Data Protection Authority (see ruling of May 8, 2014) clarified that analytics cookies can be treated like technical cookies only if they are used to optimize the site directly by the site owner, who may collect aggregated information about the number of users and how they visit the site. Under these conditions, the same rules on notice and consent apply to analytics cookies as for technical cookies.
Profiling cookies
These are cookies used to track the user's browsing online and create profiles based on tastes, habits, choices, and so on. With these cookies, advertising messages can be sent to the user's device in line with preferences already expressed during online browsing.
User choice and use of cookies
Open2b Software snc does not insert third-party content on its sites to include or use cookies or similar technologies for monitoring or collecting users' personal data. If you believe third-party content may collect personal data or use tracking technologies, please send an email to assistenza@open2b.com.

SESSION
The purpose of this cookie is to maintain the session, cart, and site login.
CART
The purpose of this cookie is to maintain products and totals in the mini-cart.
Performance and statistical cookies
Our site uses analytics cookies for statistical purposes provided by third parties (Google Analytics), which anonymize information by masking part of the IP address, preventing identification of individuals.
Google Analytics (Evidon record)
Google Analytics is Google's analysis tool that helps website and app owners understand how visitors interact with their content. This service may use a set of cookies to collect information and generate statistics on website usage without providing personal information to Google about individual visitors. The main cookie used by Google Analytics is "__ga".
Google Analytics cookies
__utma
This cookie is used by Google Analytics to track the number of visits made by a user to the site, the date and time of the first visit, and the date and time of the last visit. Google Analytics uses information from this cookie to calculate parameters such as new sessions/visits.
__utmb and __utmc
These cookies work together to calculate the duration of a visit. __utmb captures a timestamp (date and time) when the visitor accesses the site, while __utmc captures a timestamp when the same visitor leaves the site. __utmb expires at the end of the session. __utmc waits 30 minutes, then expires. __utmc has no way of knowing when a user closes the browser or leaves a website, so it waits 30 minutes for another page visit and, if none occurs, it expires.
__utmt
__utmz
This cookie tracks where the visitor came from, the search engine used, which link was clicked, which keyword was used, and the location during the site visit. It expires after 15,768,000 seconds or 6 months. This allows Google Analytics to assign credit for a conversion or e-commerce transaction to the appropriate source/medium/keyword.

DoubleClick by Google (Evidon record)
DoubleClick uses cookies to improve advertising. Common uses include selecting ads based on what is relevant to a user, improving reporting on campaign performance, and preventing the user from seeing ads already shown in the past. This identifier is used to identify an advertising campaign to which a user was previously exposed. However, DoubleClick does not store information that allows personal identification.
